The Académie Goncourt jurors unveiled this Tuesday, October 1, the second selection of the 8 novels competing for the 122nd edition of the prestigious Prix Goncourt. These literary works represent the best of contemporary creation and will compete to win the highest distinction in French-speaking literature.

The names of the four finalists will then be revealed on October 22, marking the final step before the award ceremony on November 4, at Drouant!

On Monday June 3, the academicians met up with the Printemps 2024 prizewinners at Drouant: Eve Guerra, Véronique Ovaldé, Geneviève Haroche-Bouzinac and Louis-Philippe Dalembert.

The Prix Goncourt 2023 was awarded on Tuesday 7 November in our Drouant restaurant. Jean-Baptiste Andrea won this prestigious prize with his novel "Veiller sur elle", up against Triste tigre, by Neige Sinno (P.O.L), Humus, by Gaspard Kœnig (L'Observatoire), and Sarah, Susanne et l'écrivain, by Eric Reinhardt (Gallimard). The novel follows Vivre vite, by Brigitte Giraud (Flammarion).

On Tuesday 28 February, the Académie Goncourt elected writer Christine Angot as an honorary member, succeeding Patrick Rambaud.

She will take her seat at the next meeting of the Académie, on Tuesday 4 April, at the "5ème couvert" at the Goncourt table at Drouant!

On the occasion of the Wine Paris fair, Drouant is organizing a dinner friday the 13th in the presence of Philippe and Eve Guigual, winegrowers in the Rhône Valley.

The Goncourt 2022 prize was awarded this Thursday, November 3 in our Drouant restaurant. Brigitte Giraud wins the Goncourt Prize with her novel "Vivre vite".

She succeeds Mohamed Mbougar Sarr and his novel "The Most Secret Memory of Men". She won following a very close vote against Giuliano da Empoli, thanks to the vote of President Didier Decoin who counted double.

Tuesday, October 04 took place the 2nd selection of the Prix Goncourt 2022.

The third selection of the Prix Goncourt will take place on Tuesday, October 25 in Beirut in

opening of the Beirut Books Festival.

The Prize will be announced by the Academicians Goncourt, at Drouant, on Thursday November 3

The tasting of several mythical vintages of Château Angélus around a lunch will take place on October 14 in our restaurant Drouant, in Paris, in the emblematic and elegant Salon Goncourt. In the presence of Stéphanie de Boüard-Rivoal.

The Award of Excellence is given to restaurants that offer thoughtfully chosen lists, containing both quality and diverse selections that are compatible with the menu’s style and pricing. Generally, these lists average around 100 selections but can be much larger. This year, 1,782 restaurants earned an Award of Excellence.
