Named in tribute to Théophraste Renaudot (1586–1653), physician to the king and considered France’s first journalist, founder of the Gazette de France in 1631. Since the prize’s creation in 1926, this salon has hosted the Renaudot jury each year. It can also accommodate 3 to 12 guests for private or professional events. Designed by Roberto Ruspoli, the wall bas-reliefs subtly evoke the freedom of the press to which Renaudot was a pioneer.
